ECEed is the mesh editing and scene prep app for NF , and will be highly optimized for putting ships and such into ECE game engine.
It 's sitting at 30% . imports .x .b3d and saves out native NF format .n3d .
you can edit name / pos / rot / scale of any mesh . ( many more things comming rite down to poly mesh editing soon )
hand coded some win api gadget replacements . here is just 3 of my dev blog immages . I will continue my main dev blog here again . ( as i redo this site ) ( i may open for new members soon )

Looking really good.
I hate writing editors or anything like that so respect to anyone that does.

LOL i here you there . in this case the editor will enrich a indi community (side effect ) but it will speed up my world building and will be built over the ece game systems . so final builds will ship 2 exe's (or exe + a dll) , so end user can just run the 'stripped down' game version . because it will be easier to add a compile profile (handy thing about using code::blocks ) debug, release, releaseGame in release game it uses a diff set of sources . very handy .

going to need to make the tools slideable and foldable. :: I have folding working now. The sliding of sub sections up and down .. much like how max's tool windows work. well that should not be too long away . LOL

here you see ece-ed is well past teh mesh preper i originaly planned . it loaded and fixed an old .x mesh for use in .n3d by moving mesh origins and pivots arround and creating a controll pivot .
the in 2nd shot all i did was tweek surface properties.
